| To begin the program, students are required to achieve a total score of at least 59 in the PTE Academic exam and a minimum score of 50 in each of the communication skill sections. |
*TOEFL results obtained on or after 21 January 2026 will be evaluated according to the new TOEFL scoring system.
** The updated score requirements for the PTE Academic examination will take effect starting from the 2026–2027 Fall Semester and will not apply to students who enrolled before this date.
The language of instruction in the Fashion Design Program is English. Students are required to have sufficient English proficiency in order to begin their studies. Therefore, students must take and successfully pass internationally recognized English proficiency exams such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or PTE (Pearson Test of English).
Students who are admitted to the program but fail to obtain the required scores in these language examinations will attend the English Preparatory School and receive intensive English language training. Students cannot begin the undergraduate program until they meet the language requirement.
Students are given a maximum of two years to fulfill the foreign language requirement. Students who fail to meet the requirement within two years will be dismissed from the university.
The validity period of TOEFL and PTE exam results is two years.
TOEFL iBT and PTE exam results obtained in Türkiye are only valid if the exams are taken at the test centers of STATE UNIVERSITIES.
